No Camps, No Waitlists: Why Skills 2 Score Works Differently
If you've looked into technical-skills credentials for soccer before, you've probably noticed a pattern: most of them are gated behind something. A camp you have to attend in person. A club or academy partnership you need to already be part of. A waitlist. We built Foundation Moves specifically to avoid that pattern, and it's worth explaining why.
Why we built this
Our team loves this game. We wouldn't be doing this if we didn't. And for soccer to get better, its players have to get better — but too much of today's game has drifted from what it was meant to be. Coaching and quality development are often needlessly expensive. Genuinely good coaching is hard to access for most players. Academy programs frequently treat technical skill development — and the tactical training that should go with it — as an afterthought rather than the foundation it should be. And honestly, too few coaches, and too few coaching-education systems within federations, are actually equipped to teach these fundamentals in the first place.
That's the gap we set out to close. We did the research. We have the experience. And we kept running into the same problem across the space: plenty of soccer skills videos look great, but almost none of them offer a real, complete development pathway — just isolated clips with nowhere to go next. So we built one. Foundation Moves is the world's first complete feints-and-moves technical skills curriculum, built to genuinely advance players, coaches, and the federations that train them — not just look good on a highlight reel.
What the landscape actually looks like
When we researched the space, we found skill-assessment products that compare a player's performance against a large historical database of results — genuinely useful tools, but ones distributed through in-person camps, individual trainings, or partner clubs rather than as something anyone can pick up and start on their own. We also found large, well-established training apps with a big library of drills and instructional content, but nothing resembling a graded certification exam or a shareable credential at the end of it.
What we didn't find, across everything we looked at, was a product offering a fully remote, self-serve path — video training plus a graded certification exam plus a real shareable certificate — open to anyone who downloads the app, with no camp, club, or waitlist required to get started.
Why that gap matters
Not everyone has a camp nearby. Not everyone is already connected to a club or academy. A player in a small town, a parent looking for something structured for their kid, an aspiring coach who wants a credential before they've found a program to work for — none of them should have to wait for an in-person opportunity to start building a real, documented skill foundation.
What "no waitlist" actually means here
Registration is free and takes about 30 seconds. From there, you work through the IPPT and Training Section 1 video series at your own pace, and when you're ready, you sit the Level III Coaching Certificate exam for a flat $100 fee. Nobody has to approve your enrollment, and there's no cohort you have to wait to join. You start when you decide to start.
